Building to Fulfill Our Mission in Christ Capital Campaign
Saint Ann provides a setting for serving Christ and passing on to future generations the beliefs, values and teachings of our Catholic faith. For a number of years, parish leadership has been working on a vision for a new parish center to provide a more welcoming environment for parishioners and guests. We are now close to realizing this vision and are making one last push to complete construction and begin gathering as a community in our new space.
Projects Remaining
• Concrete pouring
• Bathrooms
• Tile
• Doors and trim work
• Kitchen
• Landscaping
• Flooring in all rooms
• Shelving
• Sound system
Campaign Goal
Our minimum goal is to raise $175,000, which we believe will fully fund the Parish Center completion. Any dollars raised above this or if we come in under construction budget, would be directed towards a building maintenance fund and used for other future facility needs. Future projects may include:
• New cabinets for the church office
• Cleaning out sewage piping and addressing water issues in the church basement
Construction Timing
Saint Ann was given approval by the Diocese to finish our Parish Center with a draw loan, but we need to have pledges for collateral. Many are excited to host funeral luncheons, CCD classes, meetings and other parish events. We hope to begin these activities in the new building by Fall Festival.
Information on Giving to the Campaign
The information below is not meant to provide advice as each individual’s financial situation is unique. For further information or questions regarding how to make these gifts or the tax benefits, please consult with your accountant and/or financial advisor.
Before making a commitment to Saint Ann’s Building to Fulfill Our Mission in Christ Capital Campaign, it’s important that you know the following:
• When receiving your commitment information, please take time to consider and pray over the amount to give
• Please do not reduce giving to our annual offering in order to make a capital campaign gift
• All giving to this effort is confidential.
In what ways can I make a gift to the capital campaign?
As you consider your commitment, please review the following options:
Cash, check or Electronic Giving
Most donors will make gifts and pay their pledge by cash or check. Such charitable contributions may be tax deductible. Electronic Giving is available by completing the ACH form.
Appreciated Stocks and Bonds
Funding charitable giving with appreciated stocks or bonds may be advantageous to both you and the parish. In most cases, you will avoid paying any capital gains taxes while receiving a full value charitable deduction, and Saint Ann will receive a liquid asset. To claim these benefits, stocks/bonds must be transferred to our parish rather than selling them and donating the proceeds.
Individual Retirement Account
Money from your Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) can be donated to Saint Ann. If you have reached an age where you need to make required minimum distributions (RMDs) from your IRA, you can avoid paying taxes by donating your RMDs. To ensure your donations meet IRS rules, please work with your financial advisor or IRA administrator.
Gifts from the cash value of life insurance
Some people have accumulated cash in insurance policies that they can give.
Campaign Prayer
O Lord, Giver of all good things, You who formed us and gave us our being to love and serve You, we thank You for the gifts You have bestowed on us. We come before You to ask for the grace to build up our treasures in Heaven and to place our trust in You for all our earthly needs.
We ask You to hear our prayers in assisting and guiding us in the completion of our parish center. May this undertaking come to fruition under your direction. Help us in creating a place of fellowship and community for the faithful people of St. Ann. Make our souls a worthy place for you to reside and may we glorify Your Great Name.
We entrust this project into the hands of Mary, Queen of Heave and her mother, St. Ann. We ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
