Lectors:
Lectors offer words of welcome before Mass and proclaim the Scriptures. You may volunteer to be trained in this ministry. Please contact the parish office at 507-234-6244.

Greeters/Gift Bearers:
These are parishioners who welcome you before Mass. They also bring the gifts of bread and wine forward during Mass. You may volunteer for this role by contacting the parish office at 507-234-6244.

Ushers:
Parishioners volunteer to fulfill this role.

Song Leaders and Choir:
Singers are needed for the Sunday Masses. You are invited to join. You may volunteer for this role by contacting the parish office at

Musicians: We welcome those who can play the organ, piano or other musical instruments, to volunteer to play music at Mass to enhance our prayer. Please contact the parish office at 507-234-6244 or Mary VanRavenhorst at 507-420-4642 our Music Coordinator.

Mass Servers:
Students may volunteer for this role by contacting the parish office at 507-234-6244 or by filling out the online form.

OUTREACH MINISTRY:
As part of our parish outreach, Father would like to see the possibility of bringing Holy Communion each week to those who are hospitalized or homebound. How this works is that the outreach volunteer would attend the weekend liturgy at their convenience. Following Mass, they would take Holy Communion to a parishioner's home at an agreed upon time and bring with them a bulletin and spend a few minutes visiting. Please contact our outreach coordinator Barb Ahlman at 507-461-2962 if you are interested in visiting one or more parishioners.

FAITH FORMATION TEACHERS AND SUBSTITUTES:
If you are interested in volunteering to teach or sub for Faith Formation classes, which includes grades 1 through 10, please contact           Carol Jewison at [email protected].

SOCIAL CONCERNS:

Janesville Community Food Shelf:
You may bring non-parishable donations of canned goods, paper products, etc. and place them in the shopping cart in the chapel hallway (south entrance of the church).

If you are in need of food items, please stop in at the Community Food Shelf located behind the new addition to Trinity Lutheran Church look for sign on door. Hours the food shelf is open: Tuesday mornings between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and the second Thursday of the month between the hours of 6:00-7:00 p.m. Additional food will be available from Food for Faith on the first and third Saturday of the month from 12:30-1:30PM. No proof of income requirements. Anyone in need of food is welcome! Questions, call Kay at     507-231-5623.

Volunteers are also needed to help distribute food at the Janesville Community Food Shelf. Please contact Tony Staloch 507-231-5403 if interested in being on a rotating list to help or if you have any questions.
